Background InformationImmunoglobulin M (IgM) is produced as a 900 kDa pentamer, which is an efficient complement binder. This antibody type is produced initially in the immune response and it is the first immunoglobulin class to be synthesized by a fetus or newborn. IgM antibodies do not cross the placenta. IgM concentration in blood is 0.12 g/l and its biological survival (plasma T1/2) is 5 days.
UsageThe reagent is designed for Flow Cytometry analysis. Suggested working usage is 0.5·µg/ml. Indicated dilution is recommended starting point for use of this product, but working concentrations should be validated by the investigator.
Storage BufferThe reagent is provided in stabilizing phosphate buffered saline (PBS) solution, pH ≈7.4, containing 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide.
StorageAvoid prolonged exposure to light. Store in the dark at 2-8°C. Do not freeze.
StabilityDo not use after expiration date stamped on vial label.
